The experience continues...
<head> 2008 may be over but the experience continues with recordings from the event. <head> 2008 attendees can now access the recordings from the schedule and London hub pages after signing in.
We are also working on staging the sessions that we had issues with again. We will email you as we confirm dates for those so that you can attend them live.
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
We can hardly believe how quickly the three days flew by!
Thank you to our amazing team, our excellent speakers, and our wonderful sponsors for making the conference a success. And thank you for attending the conference and adding your own magic to the mix. Here's to <head> 2009!
Local conference hub registrations are now open!
Sign-ups are now underway in our local conference hubs in London (UK), Brighton (UK), Manchester (UK), Fribourg (Switzerland), and San Francisco (USA).
(We also have a virtual Second Life hub but you don't have to sign up to attend that one!)
Please note that we have limited seating at the hubs and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pre-party in Second Life: thank-you for coming along!
We had a pre-party bash for the <head> web conference in Second Life on Sunday, October 19th. It lasted for about three hours and there was lots of music, thanks to our DJ SerinaJane, and much virtual dancing, and even virtual drinks.
For video footage from the event and more information on the hub, see the <head> Second Life hub page.
Even if you missed the party, you can always click this link to teleport to the <head> web conference Second Life hub and look around.
Check out the schedule!
We've just released the schedule of talks for the <head> web conference.
Localize the schedule for your own timezone in a single click using our nifty little location picker, or, if you know the Olson name of your timezone, you can simply hack the URL: e.g., schedule for New York, London, Paris, Sydney, Istanbul, and Singapore).
Don't worry if you cannot make it to any of the sessions as we are going to be recording all of them. You don't need to miss anything!
We will be shuffling some sessions around and adding to the schedule in the next few days so make sure you check back before the conference for the final version.
You can still access the full list of sessions, also, if you want to skim through the session descriptions in one place.
Call for sponsors for London hub
Tim O’Reilly (founder/CEO of O’Reilly Media), Richard Moross (founder/CEO of moo.com), Gavin Starks (founder/CEO of AMEE), Paul Boag (Boagworld podcast), and Jeremy Keith of ClearLeft are just some of the speakers appearing live at our London conference hub which will take place on October 24th and the wonderful Magic Circle in Euston.
If you would like your company to have a presence at the hub, we are now looking for two £5K sponsors for the local hub to cover the food, drinks, and entertainment.
Download the call for sponsors document (PDF, 56kb) for further details and contact aral@headconference.com to express your interest. Deadline for applications is Friday, October 17, 2008.
Join us in Second Life!
Our friends at We Are Here are building us a virtual conference hub in Second Life and you can teleport there now to check it out!
You might see Steve or Lottie there, say "hello" if you do! We will also be arranging tours and events before, during, and possibly even after the conference.
If you are not already on Second Life, it's very easy to get started. The Second Life web site will show you how!
Many thanks to Linden Lab for sponsoring us with our very own island and for their help and support.
Qik, Meebo me!
We've added Qik and Meebo sections to the site. Keep in touch with other attendees by posting videos and watching videos from the various hubs on our Qik channel. Talk to other attendees in the <head> backchannel using the Meebo widget on the site.
